“By wisdom a house is built and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” (Proverbs 24:3-4)
Wisdom is the foundation. It is the exercising of skill in thinking, speaking, and living. This concept of building is the idea of restoring what has been destroyed in a wicked culture, and reviving it to a status of flourishing. (Isaiah 58:12) Wisdom embraces commitment.
Understanding is the superstructure. As we build we should be skilled in oversight, analysis, and reasonable assessment throughout the process. The home will then be placed in order, it will be adjusted to an upright position. Wisdom involves communication.
Knowledge is the décor. The home is embellished and enhanced by experiences and by discerning observation. This results in an abundance of true wealth and satisfaction. Wisdom enjoys creativity.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” (Proverbs 127:1)
